Sex & Leadership.
An original inquiry into the psychology of power and desire — and how the integration of eros and ambition produces authentic authority in public life.
Most theories of leadership treat desire as a contaminant. Strip it out, the thinking goes, and you are left with sound judgment. The opposite is closer to the truth.
Sex & Leadership is a framework for examining how libidinal energy, identification, and the unconscious organization of desire shape every meaningful executive decision. It does not moralize about sexuality; it analyzes its structural presence in ambition, charisma, succession, and the exercise of power.
The framework draws on Lacanian psychoanalysis, existential philosophy, and two decades of direct work with founders, executives, and public figures.
Power as Desire
Authority is never neutral. The framework maps how a leader's unconscious organization of desire is broadcast into the organization.
Eros as Engine
Libidinal energy is the substrate of ambition, vision, and risk. Repressed, it returns as compulsion. Integrated, it becomes range.
Mask & Self
Public-facing authority requires a mask. The question is not whether one wears it, but whether one is owned by it.
